Annual Potluck and Fundraiser: Sun, Oct 24, 2021, 12:30-1:30pm
Dear Friends of Ten Mile Creek,
Please save the date of October 24th and let us know if you would be willing and interested in attending our normally "annual" outdoor/in person potluck, and fundraiser, at the Cinque Farm - on this google form, no later than October 3rd, so we can plan accordingly. In light of the still circulating Covid-19 variants, and depending on your responses, it could instead be a webinar. But either way, you won't want to miss it!
And thank you to those of you who sent letters to the Planning Board in response to the most recent Action Alert. It was no surprise to us that the Montgomery County Planning Board approved the Pulte Site Plan Application. However, as this plan is in clear violation of the Clarksburg Master Plan, as it was amended in 2014 to protect Ten Mile Creek, Friends of Ten Mile Creek is now preparing to appeal that decision in Court. At the upcoming event, our attorneys will provide an overview and update on the case. We also expect to hear from our County Executive as well as long-time Champion of Ten Mile Creek, Marc Elrich.
As always at our annual event, we also need to hold an election for Board members by members in good standing. So, in the meantime, please renew your membership. Should you be interested and available to serve on the Board, please send a brief statement of interest to mail@tenmilecreek.org.
